In an increasingly polarised world, it is no longer feasible for us to hold perspectives in a binary. The very fabric of the international community is being tested like never before. It thus becomes, our moral obligation to be informed and glocal citizens, taking the future in our own hands, holding within us a myriad of perspectives!
It is my utmost honor and pleasure to welcome you to the 13th Edition of the Scottish Model United Nations. As Secretary-General, I am thrilled to invite you to this premier platform for diplomacy, debate, and engagement, where young leaders like yourselves will tackle the world’s most pressing challenges, and find equally innovative and rigorous solutions.
Our carefully curated committees will challenge you to think innovatively, advocate passionately, and draft solutions that are to become stepping stones to your journey of becoming a glocal citizen.
I extend my deepest gratitude to our dedicated Secretariat, and Organising Team, for their tireless efforts in making this conference possible.
