About SMC
Bombay Scottish School Mahim’s judiciaire fête❕
Mission
Moot courts are a simulation of how Indian Courts actually function.
Students are given a hypothetical case and will take on the role of either the advocate of
the plaintiff or defendant or judge. Each side must prepare both written and verbal arguments which they will present to a bench of judges.
After hearing the arguments, the panel of judges will then make a ruling based on these
submissions and declare a winner.

Scottish Moot Court is back.
Yes, again.
A moot court is a simulation of the Indian Judiciary, including the Supreme Court and various High Courts of different states. But SMC isn’t just any regular debating event, no. This event gives you the opportunity to deep dive into the laws of the land and find the legal loopholes that bring your side on top.
At the heart of the Scottish Moot Court is the belief that young people have the power to shape the future of law. We are looking for individuals who are not afraid to challenge assumptions, ask difficult questions, and advocate for what they believe is right.
Embodying the spirit of Harvey Specter, we, the Presidents also have a goal. Making Scottish Moot Court 2024 absolutely unforgettable. See you all there!!
