INTERNATIONAL PRESS
The international press is a dominant and influential force in today’s world. A democracy relies heavily on a self-sufficient, skilled, and accountable press as its foundation. Within a committee, a press team's responsibility is to report and capture what goes on in the committee.
The press is an amalgamation of three key elements:
1) Journalism
2) Illustration
3) Photography.
These three sections play an integral role in any MUN conference. The press team consists of journalists, illustrations and photographers who collectively prepare a newsletter for each day of the MUN conference.
Each day of the SMUN conference will have a newsletter of its own which is a compilation of articles, sketches and
photographs.
Benjamin Disraeli rightly said, “The press is not only free, it is powerful. That power is ours. It is the proudest that man can enjoy.”
The aim of the international press is to create a newsletter which echos the power of press.
